Session One: GM Commentary

Being the start of a new campaign, about half of this session was spent making characters, and much of the actual play time spent on setup and exposition and other fun stuff. We did manage to work in a significant fight at the end, and I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say there’s much more violence to come.

For this recap, I tried to keep events as close to what I could recollect through my admittedly faulty memory. I did gloss over a few points to speed up the narrative, and added a few rhetorical flourishes, but the essence of what happened is there. I did have to deal with the fact that Millicent’s player had to leave right after the fight with the Pugwampis. Rather than have the character go silent for the rest of the session, I threw her a couple of lines here and there so that the reader wouldn’t forget she was around. If my players object to the changes, I’m sure they’ll let me know. But for the meantime, I think the record of the first session is complete.
